Paul Shaked hired Polonsky & Friends to consult on the refurbish
of his dad Nelson's restaurant, a 15-year-old, iconic 
Italian-American destination in the heart of Little Italy, New York.

As he worked on a radically new version of the wine list and food offering alongside chef Adam Leonti, we were tasked to rethink the layout and design schematic in a way that felt more contemporary and fresh while still honoring the place's Italian roots and convivial atmosphere. The soon-to-launch result features a combination of reimagined tricolor paints and leathers, warm wood tones, hand painted ceramics by Fefostudio, Italian marble and purposefully folkloric styling elements that hints to Italy from Roman statues to Sicilian plate ware and more unexpected details.
