Oriole
The creation of a great dish involves different crucial ingredients and hands. Oriole’s food is the result of a team work as much as a variety of influences, from the Southern U.S to Asia.
With that in mind, we got inspired by the idea of the Exquisite Corpse, an old European game where a poem gets written collectively with each person in the group writing down one word. The menu here is divided in 4 parts, and, while appreciated fold by fold, will make complete sense only when fully unfolded. We also play with caligram-like text, making the reader follow the courses like a path. Colors are natural and a custom envelope protects the menu, making it easy and special for guests to take their “poem” home.
